2018 Important Dates

• GTC OPEN HOUSE: February 20, 2018 at 7pm in the library at Highland Junior High School. This event will allow for families to meet the teachers, view the campus and understand the curriculum.
• GTC APPLICATION WINDOW FOR 2018-19 SCHOOL YEAR: March 7- March 30th. The application will be available in March on the GTC page of the GPS website.

2017 Fall GTC Newsletter

After two years in the pilot phase, the GTC program was fully launched fall of 2017 at Highland Junior High.  The full launch was approved by the GPS school board spring of 2017.

The 2017 fall newsletter includes a description of the program, an introduction to the GTC teachers as well as students' perspective of the program.

We wish to thank the district teachers, staff and committee members who helped make the GTC a reality!  We wish to thank the GPS School Board for their support of gifted education in our district.

2016 Enrollment Deadlines for Gifted Programs in Gilbert

Self-Contained Gifted Offerings in Gilbert Public Schools

Enrollment deadlines are fast approaching for the Self-Contained Gifted (SCG) programs in Gilbert Public Schools.  Look below for dates and links.

Grades 4-6:

Are you interested in participating in a tour or open house of Gilbert’s SCG program for grades 4-6?

The next tour dates are April 14^th and May 4^th.  Tours of the SCG program are conducted at Towne Meadows elementary and begin at 10:30am.  Click here to register for the tour.

For more information about the SCG program for 4^th – 6^th graders, including program description, transportaion options, and qualifying criteria, visit this link at the GPS website.  This is not a purely academic program, but strives to meet the needs of the whole child, including the unique social and emotional development of gifted children.

Applications for the program are accepted through April 15, 2016.  Applications are found at this link on the GPS website.

The Open House is April 27, 2016 at 6:00-7:00pm.
